This cottage was transferred in 1880 to the northern shore of the Green Ball, but already in 1882, permanently uninhabited cottage seriously damaged by storm. After her move to the south bank in 1877 stood the cottage for three years when in 1890 it was twice destroyed by fires. The necessity of renewing the tourist object in this area grew in 1895 until the start of new construction and in 1897 the cottage standing on the northern shore of the ball was rebuilt and used by visitors from 4.7.1897.
The cottage was named after Archbishop Frederick Habsburg - Frederick's Cottage. After the fall of the monarchy until 1950 it was called the Cottage at the Green Ball, when it was renamed to Brnčalova chalet until 1992, when its name changed again to the Cottage at the Green Ball. The Green Lake is one of the most beautiful in the Tatras.
